Ferreira, Barton Lead Gymnastic Meet

Jennifer Ferreira and Jennifer Barton, both members of team SCATS, took the lead in the senior and junior divisions, respectively, Friday in the two-day gymnastics meet at Cal State Fullerton.

Ferreira, competing against gymnasts who are 15 and older, had a score of 36.40 in the four-event compulsory competition. Tied for second place at 36.35 points were Michelle Dusserre and Sabrian Mar, both of SCATS.

Barton, competing in the 14-and-under division, had a first-day score of 37.24. In second place was Missy Marlowe of Rocky Mountain Gymnastics at 36.70.

Tonight’s final round of the meet begins at 7.
