Police Investigate Stabbing of Man, 19
Anaheim detectives are investigating the stabbing of a 19-year-old man Saturday outside a West Lynne Street home, police said Sunday.
The apparently unprovoked attack occurred shortly before 8 p.m. as Martin Martinez sat in the front yard of a home at 1323 W. Lynne St., Sgt. Larry Kurtz said. Martinez was stabbed once in the chest and was in critical but stable condition Sunday evening at UCI Medical Center.
Police Sgt. Michael Webb said Martinez apparently did not know his assailant, who fled on foot.
Police are seeking a man about 22 years old, 5 feet 8 and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, Kurtz said. The suspect fled on foot.
Paramedics took Martinez to UCI Medical Center, where he underwent emergency surgery.
