The conditions of the three surviving Frustaci septuplets have improved from critical to serious, a Childrens Hospital spokesman said in Orange. The infants, born May 21, are progressing, spokesman Doug Wood said. Patricia Ann continues to breathe without a respirator, and brothers Stephen Earl and Richard Charles have gained weight, Wood said. One of the septuplets was stillborn and three others died between May 24 and June 9.
