Motorcyclist Killed; Motorist Arrested
A 19-year-old San Diego County man died early Friday from injuries he received when his motorcyle collided with a car driven by a Huntington Beach man later arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving, police said.
James Doyle Curtis of Fallbrook/suffered a broken neck and internal injuries in the accident, which occurred at 10:12 p.m. Thursday at Magnolia Street and Indianapolis Avenue in Huntington Beach, police said. He died at 1:45 a.m. at Fountain Valley Trauma Center.
Authorities identified the driver of the car as Michael J. Bennekult, 19. An investigation is continuing.
