Countywide : Toxic Household Wastes Scheduled for Collection
County residents will get a chance this week to dump toxic materials they have accumulated.
County officials are urging all residents to take old paint, household cleaners, pesticides and other potentially dangerous materials to a transfer station in Anaheim on Saturday.
Workers at Station No. 3, located at Douglas Road and Katella Avenue, will accept waste from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During an earlier free roundup in Huntington Beach, workers collected 270 55-gallon drums filled with waste, mostly old paint, which they then transferred to a Santa Barbara County treatment site.
