Local News in Brief : Glendale Reappoints Garcin, 2 Others as Airport Delegates

Share

Despite criticism by Burbank Mayor Mary Lou Howard, the Glendale City Council on Tuesday reappointed Robert Garcin, president of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, and two other commissioners as Glendale’s delegates on the airport board.

In a unanimous vote, Glendale council members reaffirmed their support of Garcin, who last week was accused by Howard of exhibiting a “cavalier attitude” toward her and another newly appointed representative from Burbank. Howard said she is unhappy with committee assignments made by Garcin and complained that the former Glendale mayor is not a “people person.”

But the Glendale council praised its delegates for what once council member termed “splendid service.” Also reappointed to four-year terms were Carroll Parcher and Carl Meseck, both former Glendale mayors.
