Kenny Roberts Breaks Laguna Seca Record

MONTEREY, Calif. —
Kenny Roberts, a three-time world motorcycle champion, broke his own track record at Laguna Seca Saturday, racing around the 1.9-mile, nine-turn oval in 1 minute 6.488 seconds.
Roberts of Hickman, Calif., had set the record of 1:06.592 in 1984. Saturday he pushed his Yamaha 499cc to 102.875 m.p.h.
