The Yakult Swallows beat the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, 6-3, in Japanese League baseball on former minor leaguer Bobby Marcano’s tie-breaking, two-run single in a four-run fifth inning Sunday.
Steve Ontiveros, formerly with the Chicago Cubs, doubled home two runs in a first-inning four-run outburst, leading the Seibu Lions to a 7-1 victory over the Lotte Orions.
