$6 Fee

I feel Melba Ann Walker (Letters, July 8) is off base complaining about the new $6 fee being charged for the auto tag to identify the disabled.

Is it really so outrageous to ask individuals to help bear the costs of special and beneficiary programs designed to make their lives more comfortable? The government can only be expected to meet so many needs and that expectation is at the saturation point.
