Rolling Hills
The Rolling Hills City Council has approved a 1985-86 general fund budget of $360,570, which is about $60,000 higher than last year.
The largest budget items are personnel and public safety, said city Treasurer L. D. Courtright, who prepared the budget.

The city of Rolling Hills will re-sign streets as part of a $35,000 public safety program included in its 1985-86 budget. An item in The Times on July 25 incorrectly said streets would be realigned.
Personnel costs, $85,539 last year, will increase to $129,000 because the city hired Tom Devereux, formerly city manager in Palos Verdes Estates, as full-time acting city manager at a salary of $3,500 a month. Former manager Joseph P. Leach, who died in May, worked part-time. Public safety costs will go from last year’s level of $90,533 to $130,000 this year because the city will spend $35,000 to re-stripe and realign city roads.
