A grand jury will investigate Home State’s failure.
Atty. Gen. Anthony J. Celebrezze Jr. said a special grand jury will probe whether criminal acts led to the closing in March of Home State Savings Bank, a collapse that forced temporary closure of all of Ohio’s privately insured thrifts. He received $1.3 million from the state to help finance the probe, which he said should start in August. The jury will work with a special prosecutor.
