Eight hikers narrowly escaped death or injury when a rock slide swept down the Yosemite Falls Trail in Yosemite National Park. Lisa Dapprich, a National Park Service spokeswoman, said the popular hiking trail will remain closed until rangers can check the slide area. She said rangers believe that all of those who were on the trail at the time of the slide have been accounted for.
