Gary Glaser, 57, has been named the new head golf coach at San Diego State. Glaser had been the golf coach at Western Michigan University since 1969. He was the head football coach at Western Michigan from 1957-63 and has been as associate professor of physical education since 1963.

SAN DIEGO--Merle Schlosser, 57, has been named the new head golf coach at San Diego State, replacing Gary Glaser. The Times incorrectly reported Friday that Glaser was the new coach.
