Free ID Tags Available for Dogs and Cats
In an effort to reduce the number of pets destroyed at city shelters when owners cannot be located, Volunteer Services to Animals is distributing free identification tags for cats and dogs.
To date, Project IDEA (Identify Every Animal) has mailed more than 1,000 tags. Tags may be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Volunteer Services to Animals, 13131 Sherman Way, North Hollywood 91605.
The volunteer group works within the six Los Angeles city shelters to help reunite lost pets with their owners, to find homes for unclaimed animals and to provide financial support for spay/neuter clinics.
