Clorox Co., anticipating the eventual retirement of Chairman Calvin S. Hatch, 64, named President Charles R. Weaver to the additional post of chief executive. Hatch will continue as chairman of the Oakland-based diversified products firm.

John W. Collins, the firm’s executive vice president, will succeed Weaver as chief operating officer.
