Santee Youth Killed When Bomb Explodes
SANTEE —
A 14-year-old boy was killed Friday when a homemade bomb exploded as he worked on it in the back yard of his home.
The body of Scott Dwain Patience was found by his father about 7 p.m., a sheriff’s deputy said.
The youth died of massive wounds to the chest and throat, a deputy coroner said.
Neighbors in the 800 block of Rumson Drive told authorities that they heard an explosion about 4 p.m.
