Starr Scores 30 Points to Lead Reno Past UCI
Chris Starr scored a game-high 30 points to lead the University of Nevada Reno to a 70-43 nonconference women’s basketball victory over UC Irvine Monday at Reno.
Irvine shot 30% from the field (6 of 20) in the first half and fell behind, 36-21, The Anteaters shot just 37% for the game, allowing Nevada Reno to improve its record to 6-3.
Valerie Dehn paced the Anteaters (3-3) with 17 points and 6-foot 6-inch center Natalie Crawford added 11 points and blocked six shots.
