Out With TV
I suggest the following simple, but far-reaching, educational reforms. They will require not better teachers, but great parental sacrifices. First, parents should take their television sets to the dump. After that they should read to and with their children, talk to and with their children, answer their children’s questions, encourage their children to invent their own games and to participate in learning in an active manner.
Then your school system will have, not a reformation, but a renaissance!
But first the TV set has to go to the dump.
