Walker to Testify in Spy Trial

SAN FRANCISCO —
Confessed spy John Walker and possibly some of his family members will testify that he and retired Navy radioman Jerry Whitworth conspired to sell U.S. military secrets to the Soviets, prosecutors disclosed Friday.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William Farmer said Walker will testify at Whitworth’s espionage and conspiracy trial against his longtime friend. He said prosecutors may also call Walker’s former wife Barbara, son Michael and brother Arthur as witnesses.
