Randal P. Bramel has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of Ponderosa Homes. Bramel, formerly with American Pacific Corp., Irvine, is director of the Building Industry Assn., Orange County chapter.

Robert C. Weiss has joined Emerik Properties Corp. as executive vice president and a director. Emerik is an affiliate of Guilford Glazer & Associates. Weiss was formerly president of De Anza Investment Corp.

Cecilia Wong, principal of Cecilia Wong Designs, Claremont, has been elected “Member of the Year” by the American Society of Interior Designers of California.

George H. Lightner, president of Upland-based Lightner Development, has been named 1985 “Builder of the Year” by the Baldy View Region of the Building Industry of Southern California. He is a former president of Baldy View’s Multi-Housing Council.

Andrew Suzuki has been named director of design for Aram Bassenian & Associates Inc.

Johnnie N. McClure/Sacks has been promoted to vice president at Maguire Thomas Partners, Los Angeles. She joined the firm as a controller in 1979.

John Emery, a former managing principal of Arthur Young’s Executive Resource Consultants, has been named a managing director at MCS Associates Management Consultants, Newport Beach, and will supervise the firm’s executive search group; Joseph J. Ziomek has been named the managing director for MCS Associates, Management Consultants Inc.

Carlos Alonso, a designer with TNP Construction Co. of Camarillo and former president of the Los Angeles chapter of AIA Associates, has been elected associate director/south for the California Council of the American Institute of Architects. Chester A. Widom, a partner at Widom Wein Interarc, West Los Angeles, was elected vice president for governmental affairs.

Scotty MacTavish of Cal State Insulation has been elected president of the Los Angeles chapter, California Insulation Contractors Assn., succeeding Frank Lemmo of Lucky Installations.

Stanley Black was presented the National Man of the Year Award from the American ORT Federation at its New York City convention.

Edward P. O’Donnell, major account manager for Ticor Title Insurance in Ventura County, was inducted into the Institute of Residential Marketing of the National Assn. of Home Builders during their annual convention in Dallas. O’Donnell is the first title insurance salesman in the United States to receive this designation.

Arthur C. Smith has been named director of asset management for the Voit Cos., a Woodland Hills-based developer of commercial and industrial properties. Smith previously served as vice president-property management.

Kevin McCafferty has been named vice president and regional manager for Gibraltar MoneyCenter’s secondary market acquisitions department and its subsidiary Newport Escrow Co. Previously, he was MoneyCenter’s northern California regional manager. Eldon L. Vogt has been named MoneyCenter’s director of finance and secondary market. Prior to joining MoneyCenter, Vogt was senior vice president and controller with San Diego-based Great American First Savings bank.

Sheryl D. Sadeghi has been appointed vice president/leasing shopping center properties for Keystone Development Associates of Los Angeles.

Gail-Marie Osterloh has been promoted to controller at Brehm Communities, San Diego-based residential development firm. She served as assistant controller since joining Brehm in May, 1985.

James Fergus has joined the real estate development firm of Markborough California Inc. as director of planning.

Anthony M. (Tony) Flatos has joined Farrell Smyth Inc., San Luis Obispo, as director of property management.

Mark Robeson has been named first vice president of Security Pacific Corp.’s California real estate industries department and regional manager of its westside regional real estate office. He joined Security Pacific in 1978 as a vice president of commercial lending.

Charles F. Barnard has been named assistant vice president and commercial loan underwriter at Affiliated Lenders Corp., La Jolla, the commercial mortgage banking subsidiary of Lenders Corp.

Christopher T. Stirling has been named senior development director of Homart Development Co.’s Wilshire Landmark, West Los Angeles, and Xerox Centre, El Segundo. Prior to joining Homart, he was vice president and acquisitions manager of Angeles Corp., Los Angeles.

William Thompson has been appointed vice president of real estate for HomeClub Inc. Before joining HomeClub,Thompson served the Fed Mart Corp. and its successor entities, most recently as senior vice president.
