Services Scheduled Wednesday for Sgt. Michael Caballero
Funeral services for Stanton Police Sgt. Michael Caballero will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Polycarp’s Church, 8100 Chapman Ave., Stanton.
Burial will follow at Melrose Abbey Mausoleum and Mortuary Park, 2303 S. Manchester Ave., Anaheim.
Caballero, 36, a watch commander on the night shift, committed suicide Friday by hanging himself, investigators said. His body was found in a friend’s Garden Grove apartment. Friends told investigators Caballero had been depressed over work and family matters.
A seven-year veteran of the Stanton force, Caballero was Stanton Officer of the Year in 1984. He was a native of Fullerton.
