Several teams in the National Football League teams said they have no plans to negotiate for Doug Flutie, the former Heisman Trophy winner at Boston College, who is now free from his United States Football League contract.

The Rams hold Flutie’s NFL rights after selecting him 11th in the 1985 draft.

Atlanta Falcon vice president Taylor Smith said, “The Rams have offered Doug to us as they have just about every other team. We were somewhat interested until they said they were looking for a second-round pick.”
