Evander Holyfield will defend the cruiserweight boxing...
Evander Holyfield will defend the cruiserweight boxing championship tonight while his Olympic teammate, Mark Breland, will take what he hopes will be a step toward becoming a champion again.
Holyfield will make a mandatory defense of his International Boxing Federation title in a 15-round bout against Dwight Muhammad Qwai at Atlantic City, N.J.
Breland will fight Javier Suazo in a scheduled 10-round bout on the undercard. It will be his first action since he lost the World Boxing Assn. welterweight title to Marlon Starling on an 11th-round knockout Aug. 22.
