Laguna Niguel Team Wins Tennis Event

Cathy Olmstead and Bruce Lyle of Laguna Niguel defeated Ann Goldman and Leigh Livesay of Miami, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, Saturday to win the Ford Sports Amateur Tennis Championship at the Grand Champion Racquet Club in Indian Wells.

Olmstead and Lyle qualified for the final by reaching the quarterfinals in a 50-city tournament at Hilton Head Island, S.C., in September. The top eight finishers from that tournament qualified for the Indian Wells competition.
