Lynn Adams Upset in Racquetball Semifinal Match

Kaye Kuhfeld of Indianapolis upset top-seeded Lynn Adams of Costa Mesa, 11-10, 11-5, 5-11, 11-10, in the semifinals of the Ektelon Racquetball Championships at Los Caballeros Sports Village in Fountain Valley Saturday.

Kuhfeld will meet Marci Drexler of San Diego in today’s final at 2 p.m. Drexler advanced by defeating Liz Alvarado of Houston, 11-5, 3-11, 11-4, 11-5, in an earlier semifinal.

In quarterfinal matches, Adams defeated Jackie Paraiso of San Diego, 11-6, 11-4, 7-11, 11-7, and Kuhfeld defeated Vicki Panzeri of Seattle, 11-3, 2-11, 11-4, 11-10.

In other quarterfinal matches, Drexler defeated Molly O’Brien of Pittsburgh, 11-2, 11-6, 11-9, and Alvarado defeated Cindy Doyle of New York, 9-11, 9-11, 11-4, 11-4, 11-1.
