Gary Hart’s Back in the ’88 Presidential Race
Who shall lead our country into the last decade of the 20th Century? We have heard the words and promises of a handful of well-intentioned men. But time and time again, we learn that words seldom translate into action. Enter Gary Hart. His decision to bring his candidacy back into full swing has irrefutably demonstrated to us his commitment and dedication not only to his beliefs, but to our country.
At a time when courage and confidence seem to be lacking from the general national spirit, Hart’s rebound into the presidential race, his unfaltering commitment to his beliefs, and his strength to throw in his hat when others would throw in the towel should set a gleaming example for the rest of us to whom gutsiness, perseverance and a winning attitude still mean something. I am changing my political affiliation and will be a registered Democrat in 1988.
