In World Cup luge competition at Innsbruck, Austria, world champion Markus Prock of Austria won the men’s singles event, and Soviet athletes completely dominated the women’s singles on the artificial ice chute.
The competition was marred by driving rain that also has handicapped other winter sports events in western Austria and on Saturday led to the cancellation of two World Biathlon events.
