Forward Mark Stevenson of Notre Dame has pleaded not guilty to charges that he shoplifted two sweaters valued at $49.99 from a department store near the campus earlier this month.
An April 8 trial date was set in the Mishawaka (Ind.) Division of St. Joseph Superior Court. Stevenson has been charged with a misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail and $5,000 fine.
