Westwood : ‘Mom-O-Grams’ Offered
UCLA student government interns will honor Mother’s Day--and raise some money--with musical “Mom-O-Grams” sung to the tune of popular songs such as “New York, New York” and “Hello, Dolly.”
The greetings will be sung over the telephone to more than 5,000 mothers by 150 student interns on Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8. Each Mom-O-Gram costs $5 for calls in the continental United States and $20 for calls overseas. The money will benefit the UCLA Government Internship Assn., which offers government internships to UCLA students in Washington, New York and San Francisco.
