Student Voters
I am a retired businessman, now serving seasonlly as an election precinct officer. This past election I served in a precinct adjacent to Cal State Northridge. I have good things to report:
At least a third of our precinct registered voters are college students. Almost all of them showed up at the polling place with premarked ballots in hand, ready to vote, many for the first time. All precinct officers commented on the large student turnout. They were quiet, determined and ready to participate in the democratic process. I hold great hope for the future, based on what I observed.Charles P. Reed Northridge
