Nigel Olney; Nine-Year Heart Transplant Survivor

Nigel Olney, 44, Britain’s longest-surviving heart transplant patient. Olney underwent the first life-saving surgery almost nine years ago and a second heart transplant two weeks ago at Papworth Hospital near Cambridge. He had been making a good recovery until his condition deteriorated Monday, the hospital said.
