Memorial Services Set for Former Gymnast
A memorial service will be held Sunday for Javier Salazar, a former member of the Mexican national gymnastics team who was killed Monday in a car accident in Northridge.
Salazar, 30, who competed in the 1979 World Gymnastics Championships, was a resident of Arleta and a gymnastics instructor at the Junior Elite Training Center in Canoga Park.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. at the Noble Chapel, 1231 First St., in San Fernando.
