ANAHEIM : Man Found in Alley Dies From Stabbing

A 30-year-old man who had been stabbed once in the chest died after police found him in an alley in Anaheim, police said Wednesday.
Officers arrived at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday and found the man in an alley at 219 E. Pearson Ave., said Lt. Marc Hedgpeth. The man’s name was withheld pending the notification of relatives.
Hedgpeth said that the stabbing might be related to gangs or drugs.
The victim, who was an Anaheim resident, was stabbed once in the upper chest, Hedgpeth said.
The man was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
Police believe that the man was stabbed during a scuffle in a parking lot at 320 E. Orangewood Ave. From there, the victim ran about a block until he collapsed in the alley where he was found.
Police have no suspects or a motive.
