Burglars Vandalize Health Spa, Steal Safe
Burglars broke through a skylight and vandalized a health spa, making off with a floor safe and leaving gang-type graffiti on the mirrors, police said Monday.
Lt. John Buchholz said the vandalism occurred at the Imperial Health Spa in the 1800 block of West La Habra Boulevard while the storefront spa was closed, sometime between 7 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.
The vandals broke mirrors and turned on faucets, flooding the spa, Buchholz said. They also chiseled out and removed a concrete-mounted floor safe containing $1,900 and some records.
Gang names Pee Wees and WSL (West Side La Habra) were scrawled on the mirrors.
