KCOP will air “The Streets of San...

KCOP will air “The Streets of San Francisco” (Wednesday at 1:30 a.m.), a 1972 TV movie that was a pilot for the cop show of the same name. The first episode of the series, starring Michael Douglas and Karl Malden, airs Wednesday at noon.

Also starting a fresh run are two more recent series: “Crime Story,” which begins with the two-part pilot (Tuesday and Wednesday at midnight on USA) and “The Cosby Show,” with a premiere episode (Monday at 7 p.m. on KCOP) that has Theo learning an economics lesson.

Flashbacks show how Richard Kimble became “The Fugitive” (Wednesday at noon on A&E;) in one of the first episodes of the series. (Helen Kimble, by the way, is played by Diane Brewster, who was Theodore’s first teacher, Miss Canfield, on “Leave It to Beaver.”) The series’ first, undistinguished episode airs Monday at noon.

Garry Marshall, a writer for “The Dick Van Dyke Show” (and later creator of “Happy Days” and “Laverne and Shirley”) has a small role on the “Van Dyke Show” as a fight referee (Monday at 1 p.m. on KDOC).

Mark loses his soul to a delightfully devilish Anthony Zerbe in an amusing “Highway to Heaven” (Wednesday at 5 p.m. on KTLA).

Those legs at the bottom of the robot costume on “Lost in Space” are definitely human. In the end of the “Invaders From the Fifth Dimension” episode (Monday at 10 a.m. on USA), look for actor Bob May’s legs as the robot heads toward the alien spaceship.

The late Sammy Davis Jr. plays it straight in one show and for laughs in another. On “The Mod Squad” (Saturday at 4 a.m. on KDOC) he’s an ex-drug addict wrongfully accused of assault. On “The Jeffersons” (Wednesday at 4:05 p.m. on TBS) he portrays himself.

John McIntire joins the cast of “The Virginian” (Sunday at 9 a.m. on Family), where he’ll take over the Shiloh Ranch for awhile. His real-life wife, Jeanette Nolan, plays his wife, Holly.

Edward Woodward of “The Equalizer” was an unfamiliar face to Americans when he appeared on “The Saint” (Tuesday at 1 a.m. on KCAL) more than 20 years ago.
