Troy Advances With Victory Over Canyon
FULLERTON —
Greg Windle and Brent Lacher combined on a one-hitter as Troy won a championship quarterfinal baseball game over Canyon, 6-1, in the Anaheim Lions Tournament on Friday at Troy High School.
Lacher, who pitched the final 1 2/3 innings to earn a save, also had three hits and two RBIs, including an RBI single in Troy’s three-run sixth inning. Greg Tippen’s two-out single in the sixth was the lone hit for host Canyon (6-4-1).
