OLIVER STONE
After reading your feature about Oliver Stone, I watched “Wall Street” for about the 10th time.
Like Gordon Gekko--the heartless takeover artist portrayed with zeal by Michael Douglas--Stone is obnoxious, overbearing, loud, arrogant, egotistical and hard to fool.
Unlike Gekko, Stone has a heart. The spirit of the ‘60s is nothing if not the pursuit of truth. This, Stone has given us in abundance. For this I forgive him his self-centered personality traits.
