The Oakland Athletics signed free-agent pitcher Kirk Dressendorfer to a one-year contract. Dressendorfer, who had been one of the A’s top pitching prospects before missing last season with shoulder surgery, became a free agent last week when the A’s did not offer him a contract to avoid the 20% limit on salary cuts.
