Parachutist Survives Fall Off 950-Foot Tower
ERIE, Colo. — A man jumped from a 950-foot-high communication tower and survived even though his parachute failed to open and he slammed into a grassy field. Alf Humphries, a 49-year-old securities analyst, was in serious condition Tuesday with spinal injuries at St. Anthony Hospital Central in Denver.
