Music: EastWest Records and the best-selling West Coast rap group Da Lench Mob are parting ways in the wake of murder charges being filed against two of the group’s members. EastWest is part of Time Warner’s Atlantic Group. Da Lench Mob’s “Guerillas in tha Mist” was one of the top-selling rap albums nationally in 1992 and 1993. In a brief statement, EastWest Chairman and Chief Executive Sylvia Rhone said, “It would be in the best interest of both parties to discontinue our relationship.” Sources within the company attributed the action to the group’s legal problems as well as creative differences. A lawyer for the group’s production company said a mutual release was agreed upon. . . . Moving Target Productions, the production company of former Paramount Pictures chief Brandon Tartikoff, has linked up with former Warner Bros. executive Michael Jay Solomon’s international sales company on a three-year distribution agreement, starting with the international rights to the television movie “XXX’s and OOO’s.”
