Alexi Lalas’ goatee got an impromptu trim, while the legend of Univision announcer Andres Cantor continues to grow.
Lalas and Cantor were both guests of David Letterman on the “Late Show” Wednesday night, and Letterman did some real cutting up.
Before doing what a lot of people would probably like to do, Letterman, near the end of an interview with Lalas, asked: “Can I trim that up for you, just a little, just a little, just take a little off? Even it off. That’s all we’re going to do.”
Letterman trimmed about an inch off the goatee.
Lalas then kicked a soccer ball into the balcony of the Ed Sullivan Theater, causing Cantor to scream: “GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLL!!!!!”
Earlier, Lalas talked about how he was just a fan at the World Cup four years ago.
“I was in Italy, bumming around with high school friends, drinking beer, chasing women,” Lalas said.
“You don’t need a World Cup for that,” Letterman interjected.
