PALOS VERDES PENINSULA : Service of 2 Bus Lines to Be Cut Back in Trial

Share

Two bus lines serving the Palos Verdes Peninsula will be cut back during a four-month trial, starting Sept. 5.

Lines 443 and 445 will each make three morning trips and three evening trips weekdays until Dec. 30, when the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will re-evaluate the number of riders using the lines.

Previously, the lines made five stops in the morning and five in the evening, said Dennis Morefield, a spokesman for County Supervisor Dean Dana, whose district includes the peninsula.

The MTA made the decision to cut service last Wednesday in an attempt to deal with a projected $141-million budget deficit.
