Ford Recalls New Contours, Mercury Mystiques: The auto maker is recalling the new models in the middle of its launch of a multimillion-dollar ad campaign to introduce the new sedans. Ford Motor Co. said that 200 Contours and Mystiques delivered to buyers are being called back so dealers can add a part to prevent a buildup of static electricity that could cause a fire when gas is pumped into the cars. The problem was discovered at the Kansas City assembly plant when a small fire broke out as gas was being pumped into a newly finished car.
