NYELAND ACRES : Man Pleads Innocent in Slaying Over Beer
A Nyeland Acres man accused of slaying his roommate after the two disagreed over the brand of beer the defendant brought home pleaded not guilty Thursday.
Superior Court Judge Allan L. Steele set a Nov. 28 trial for Miguel Garibaldi, 38.
Prosecutors say Garibaldi and 31-year-old Jose Jesus Arrendondo-Sanchez argued Aug. 5 after Garibaldi brought home Natural Light beer by Anheuser-Busch. Arrendondo-Sanchez, who paid for the beer, wanted Michelob and poured the Natural Light down the kitchen sink.
Arrendondo-Sanchez was stabbed during an argument in the kitchen, prosecutors said.
