FCC Wants Input on Wireless Auction: The Federal Communications Commission is seeking public comment on whether to allow a Mississippi telephone company to compete in an auction for licenses to provide the next generation of wireless phones. The move came after Telephone Electronics Corp. of Jackson, Miss., went to court to block the auction, claiming it is discriminatory. The U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington has ruled that the FCC cannot proceed with the June auction until the suit is resolved. The FCC is now considering a revision of its rules to allow TEC to compete in the auction as a small business.
