Man Sought in Theft at Hosiery Outlet
Ventura County sheriff’s deputies are on the lookout for a man in his mid-20s who is suspected of robbing a hosiery outlet store over the weekend.
Investigators said the suspect entered L’Eggs-Hanes-Bali-Playtex in the Camarillo Factory Stores about 4 p.m. Sunday. He approached one of the clerks and demanded money. When the clerk questioned whether the robber was serious, the suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk.
No one was injured, but the suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was last seen running eastbound from the store toward Ventura Boulevard, sheriff’s officials said. A search of the area by ground and air was unsuccessful.
He was described as white, in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-6 with a slight build. He has blond hair and was wearing a dark baseball cap and sweatshirt, faded blue jeans and sunglasses.
Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to contact Sheriff’s Department investigators at 482-9844.
