BULLFROGS TONIGHT
Opponent--Blades
Site--Pond
Time--7:30
Records--Bullfrogs 4-2, Blades 2-1-1.
Bullfrog update--All the Bullfrogs’ victories have come at the Pond. Defender Marty Yewchuk is still recovering from a concussion he sustained in the June 15 home game against Sacramento. But goaltender David Goverde is expected to be back. He missed Saturday’s 9-7 victory over St. Louis to attend his grandmother’s funeral in Canada. He is the likely starter, although veteran goaltender Rob Laurie has been hot lately.
Blade update--The Blades outlasted the Bullfrogs, 9-5, at the Forum June 14, peppering Goverde with 43 shots. Kevin St. Jacques, who had a hat trick in the first meeting of the teams, has tallied 15 points and the Blades have scored on 12 of 17 power plays. Goaltender Jeff Ferguson (6.01 goals-against average) is among the league leaders. The Blades will play eight games in the next 12 days, including four on the road.
