Trabuco Hills (8-1-1) vs. Esperanza (9-1)
7:30 TONIGHT VALENCIA HIGH
A point to ponder: Esperanza escaped with a 19-17 victory over Fountain Valley last week, and Trabuco Hills dominated the Barons, 24-7, in a nonleague game. The pressure is on the Mustangs’ defense to slow Grant Wagner and his band of receivers, Aaron Hill (39 catches, seven TDs), Bo Ashabraner (34 catches, 10 TDs) and Kris Hall (32 catches, three TDs) and prevent Jarrod Schuster from running wild. Trabuco Hills has been up to the task much of the year, having allowed more than 14 points only twice, to San Clemente (26-26) and Mater Dei (38-21 loss).
