The transit authority removed two controversial bus stops on Los Alisos Boulevard last week after months of complaints from residents and an official request from the City Council.
The move is the first step in eliminating bus traffic on Los Alisos Boulevard, which is still used by the Orange County Transit Authority for hundreds of daily bus trips.
At this month’s meeting, the council voted unanimously to spend $150,000 on repairs to the private street Calle de la Plata so routes could be returned to their original street. The routes were moved in September after the street’s owner had requested maintenance.
