The Finance Department is working overtime to put together the first two-year budget plan in the city’s history.
Steve Brisco, the city’s new finance director, said two-year budgets allow cities to plan ahead to adjust to any changes in revenue or expenses.
“It’s an important planning tool for the future,” said Brisco, who took on the job of finance director a few weeks ago after working for the city of Azusa, which he helped switch to a two-year budget plan.
